Happy New Year to All of Our Friends and Partners In The Real Estate Community

Dear Friends,

The start of the new year finds an encouragingly resurgent real estate market. However, 2018 proved to be a year of significant change in our industry and TRT made some substantial changes too. In particular, we completely reorganized the company to optimize client services and to address the changing industry landscape. To this end, we opened up new offices, launched our new technology platform, and were fortunate to attract leaders in the New Jersey Title Industry to join our team. In addition, we completed the transition to e-recording of documents in over 99% of the transactions we handle. Below are a few highlights from 2018 and a preview of our plans for 2019.

However, before we jump into reviewing the highlights, please be advised that we will be scheduling client meetings to demonstrate our new platform designed to simplify and speed up the closing process for you and your clients.

The Highlights:

TRT Welcomes Two Titans of The Title Industry, William Dowd, IV and Isidore Teitelbaum, Esq. and two highly skilled industry professionals, Beata Urban and Sandra Teitelbaum

We are proud to announce that William Dowd, IV, formerly owner of Republic Title in Union County, a third generation abstract and title agency, joined our company as of January 1, 2019 assuming the role of Senior Title Examiner. Bill brings his vast experience and knowledge to TRT, together with an unparalleled reputation for being able to solve the most difficult title issues. Joining Bill from Republic Title is Beata Urban, a Senior Paralegal, who brings over 20 years of law firm and title company experience handling settlement on behalf of our clients.

We are also proud to announce Isidore Teitelbaum, Esq. has joined TRT as Senior Underwriting Counsel. As former owner of Title Services of N.J., and a long time Executive Board Member of the New Jersey Land Title Institute, “Izzy” brings over forty years of title and commercial real estate experience to TRT. Joined by his wife, Sandra, the Teitelbaums will help us continue to expand our commercial title and escrow services.

Other key personnel that joined the team in 2018 include: Andrew Chokas, Finance Director and Rebekah Pezzello, Human Resources Director.

New Locations! Providing more convenient closing locations for you and your clients.

During 2018, we added three new staffed offices to expand our closing capabilities. The new offices are located in Lakewood (Ocean County), Westfield (Union County), and Montville (Morris County). Chances are, if you are reading this announcement, one of our offices is less than 20 minutes away from your location. We are not done yet though as we plan to add new offices in Hudson and Bergen County before the summer. Please be sure to check our website for office hours and locations.

Our Platform Launch provides a faster and smarter connection.

Our new software platform, RQ1 allows direct integration with both lenders and realtors. Attorneys can place orders, obtain documents, and view the status of their files, utilizing their own unique password. We will be contacting all of our valued clients over the next few months to provide in office demonstrations and training for you and your staff. The platform will enable us to work with greater security and eliminate the possibility of fraudulent emails as the functionality of the platform permits direct access to all documents, including ones that are confidential such as wire instructions.

CE and CLE Programs being offered.

Two Rivers Title is now directly licensed to offer CLE and CE programs to the real estate and insurance communities. For your convenience, we will provide training programs at your offices, taught by our staff, to law firms, and real estate brokerages. Last month, for the second year in a row, Two River Title was named to the 2018 NJ Biz List of Fastest Growing Companies, the only Title and Escrow company with this designation and a recognition that we are very proud of achieving.
