Pennsylvania passes permanent Remote Online Notarization, joining the majority of states in the U.S. to do so. Is New Jersey next? S2508 and A4250 (passed by the Assembly and referred to Senate Judiciary Committee on 8/3/2020)

On October 29, 2020, Governor Wolf signed legislation allowing for RON. HB 2370 was signed as Act 97 of 2020 effective immediately, and specifies that a notary in Pennsylvania can perform notarial acts through communication technology as long as several requirements are met.
