This new law, which became effective January 18, 2022, requires creditors that have initiated foreclosures on commercial properties, within 10 days of the first preceding, to notify the municipal clerk a foreclosure has been filed on the property. All municipalities that have ordinances currently addressing this, must make their details consistent with the Act by August 1, 2022. Read more about the details here:
