As of February 1, 2023, remote online notarization (RON) is permanent in the state of New York (NY). New York now joins many other states across the nation to enact this law and advance notary services through technology regardless of geographic location. Remote Ink Notarization (RIN), which was a temporary measure for the COVID-19 pandemic, will no longer be permitted. To read more details about the law, see the link below.
