UPDATE FROM TWO RIVERS TITLE CEO MATTHEW COHEN – Friday, March 27
Yes we are still OPEN for business. Our offices are open for closings and we are now operating on a “work from home” model for most of our staff. You are receiving so much information from so many sources, I want to focus this update on the issues most important to you.
For the States we operate in directly, NJ, NY, FL, PA, & CT.
Can we still perform title searches and issue title commitments ?
Yes, in most counties and jurisdictions. There are some limitations but we have access to multiple sources of data to fill in most gaps. We offer Gap Coverage for those handful of counties which have stopped e-recordings temporarily.
Can we close?
Yes. Last week, we introduced “TRT Privacy Closings”, with sterilized rooms, web conferencing for attorneys, realtors and lenders, with the notary in an adjacent space.
Additionally, this week we have started offering Drive Up, Curb Side, and Front Porch Closings! Borrowers park in front of one of our offices, call upstairs, and we send a notary down to your client with new pens, gloves and handle the closing without your clients having to leave their car. Or they can stay at home, and we will send someone to them! That notary will remain outside the door, but will be able to answer questions from an appropriate distance.
You and your clients will receive the documents to review before the notary arrives so questions can be raised and answered ahead of time. Parties other than those executing documents should attend only via web conferencing such as Zoom or FaceTime.
We continue to adapt to your customers’ needs in this extreme environment. Thank you for your continued support and trust.
